In spring, the Rock Garden comes into its own, with peaceful ponds and waterfalls and 125,000 blooming bulbs which are closely followed by flowering cherries. You can absorb the tranquility of this particular garden from the terrace of the Tea House restaurant. A massive collection of over 800 varieties of lilac lie in the Arboretum, with dogwoods, rhododendrons and magnolias adding to the splendor.
